TheDAAD Doctoral Training Scholarship is one of the many generous deeds that the management of the German Academic Exchange Service is known for. They help students by providing financial assistance, however, you still may not benefit until you know more about it. Read on.

The programme shall be taught in the English Language over three year duration. All applications must be submitted before the stated deadline and only eligible persons will be considered for this program.

The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Scholarships Secretariat is inviting applications from Ghanaian students to pursue doctoral training programmes.

Scholarship Eligibility

1. Must be a Ghanaian citizen resident in Ghana.

2. Must be a teaching staff of a Public or accredited private Tertiary University or Polytechnic.

3. Be a first Degree holder with 2^nd Class Upper division or First Class

4. Must hold a master’s degree equivalent to a B+ grade or above

5. Should have a National Service certificate

6. The Masters degree generally should not be more than six (6) years at the last time of graduation.

7. Should not be more than 45 years

8. Should be willing to learn the German Language

How to Apply

The candidates shall submit a complete application consisting of:

1. Curriculum Vitae

2. Research proposal (not more than 10 pages) including a detailed timetable.

3. Should have secured admission with a recognized German University and developed a research proposal with a would-be German Supervisor.
