JAMB Mock Examination Update – Following the just concluded mock screening test for the preparedness of JAMB main examination (UTME) 2025, numerous challenges were observed from candidate with whom this guide will be of help. Continue reading to see more details below.

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has conducted a mock examination in all the accredited CBT centres to prepare and familiarise interested candidates with the CBT environment.

About Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) is a Nigerian entrance examination board for tertiary-level institutions.

The board conducts the entrance Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination for prospective undergraduates into Nigerian universities.

The board is also charged with the responsibility of administering similar examinations for applicants of the Nigerian public and private monotechnics, polytechnics, and colleges of educations.

Major Challenges Faced by JAMBITE

1. Late Arrival: Yes, I will advise you all that will be sitting for the 2025 JAMB to be in your exam Centre one hour before the examination start. Try as much as you can to be the first student to be in your centre.

Coming late to any examination will make you feel that you have lost it all. you will automatically dis-organize.

2. Health Challenge: This is another serious challenge facing some candidates preparing for JAMB.

If you are not health sound or your health is deteriorating and you cannot find immediate cure for your sickness, it is advisable that you do not register for the exams till you are perfectly ok.

3. Time Mismanagement: Time is precious; misusing it poses a serious problem to the candidates.

Many jamb aspirants tend to waste much time in answering one question instead of scrolling to questions they know best. Once this occurs, probability of passing the examination is very lean.

Other Challenges

4. Examination Fright: According to H.P. Lovecraft, Supernatural Horror in Literature , He said that “The oldest and strongest emotion of mankind is fear, and the oldest and strongest kind of fear is fear of the unknown”

Seriously speaking, i was afraid then , the fear of Jamb made me to think if i was going into Do or Die Affair. I could also remember vividly that very day of the examination it took me about 10 minutes before i could even start shading some answer all because i was afraid to even start somewhere. Fear contributed to my failure.

So Dear students, be bold, courageous and never you think of failure in your jamb examination. Jamb is just like a normal examination but very tricky.

5. Supervisors/Invigilators: Nowadays. Invigilators can frustrate students to the extent of asking them to pay or there will be NO communication inside the examination hall.

For instance i could remember that day; one invigilator asked us to pay #2,500 each to allow us share and communicate with each other BUT if you fail to pay automatically you will become NO 1 Suspect in the hall.

They will try anything humanly possible to make you fail unless you know your Creator.

Important

• Check if there are actually CCTV Cameras
• Check if the systems are special in anyway (maybe if there’s no mouse)
• When you login to take an exam, check how the CBT environment is laid out.
• Where is the time Located, Where are your Subject Navigation Located, Where are the Question Numbers Located, e.t.c.
• Check if you can use both Keyboard and Mouse (Remember JAMB said you can now use only Keyboard).
• Check the time given for the exam.
• Check the number of questions given.
• Remember that JAMB said typing “S” on the keyboard means you want to submit. Be careful!

Ensure you keep your items safe! Your phones, bags, money e.t.c. Please note that not everyone, who comes to the hall came for the exam. Some people are just natural thieves. They steal at every opportunity.

JAMB 2025 Mock Examination Update

Interested candidates are advised to indicate their interest in the mock examination during registration provided they register on or before Saturday 24th April 2025.

The date for the MOCK examination shall be from Thursday, 3rd June 2025.

Note

Non-JAMB CBT Centres are allowed to collect, through their bank accounts, a separate Seven Hundred Naira (₦700) only for mock exercise from only interested candidate(s) after notification of centre has been received by the candidate(s).

The payment for the mock examination by the candidate shall be made to the centre to which the candidate is assigned after the notification of assigned centres for the mock examination.

No Association or body is permitted to run any mock examination on behalf of JAMB.

DO NOT PAY FOR MOCK UNTIL JAMB ASSIGNS YOU TO A CBT CENTRE. NO ONE SHOULD PATRONISE FRAUDSTERS. ONLY JAMB ACCREDITED CBT CENTRES CAN SERVE AS EXAMINATION CENTRES
