Uniabuja Postgraduate Portal: The University has two campuses with the main one located along Abuja Airport road and a mini campus in Gwagwalada.

The University of Abuja, Uniabuja has is fondly called is situated in the federal capital territory (FCT) and founded in 1988. The institution of higher learning is one of the notable universities with a difference in the country. It offers both postgraduate and undergraduate courses.

The university has nine faculties, a college of health science, and two schools; the school of remedial studies and the school of postgraduate studies.

The University of Abuja is not just among the tertiary institutions in the Capital State (Abuja) of the Country (Nigeria), it is amongst the top 10 ranked universities by the National Universities Commission; others include the African Institute of Science and Technology, Baze University, Nigeria Turkish Nile University, Veritas University, National Open University, and Nile University.

The University of Abuja popularly known as UNIABUJA was founded in 1988; it is a dual-mode university that runs a conventional learning program and also a distance learning program. UniAbuja is located at Kilometer 23, Airport Road, Abuja, Nigeria.

UNIABUJA School of Postgraduate Studies

The institution offers postgraduate degrees in the following categories.

• Postgraduate Diploma- In Education, Business, Public Administration, Political science, Banking and Finance, Engineering, statistics, Food hygiene, veterinary epidemiology, etc.
• Masters degree- In sciences, Arts, Business administration, public administration, education, law, philosophy, Environmental planning and protection, Public health, Engineering, etc
• Doctorate degree- Ph.D. in various fields and departments.

UNIABUJA Postgraduate Admission Requirements

• Candidate for Postgraduate studies into the University of Abuja must have obtained at least (5) credits including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings in WASC NECO GCE (Ordinary Level) or their equivalent.
• Candidates applying for the M.A., M.Ed., M. Eng., MVPH, MVPM, and M.Sc. degrees in any field must have obtained a Bachelor’s degree with at least second class lower division in the relevant discipline.
• A Candidate for a Ph.D. in any Programme of the University of Abuja must have obtained a minimum weighted average score of 60% (4 points) letter grade “B” average performance in the Master’s Degree
• A Candidate applying for the Ph.D. with a Master’s Degree from any other University, who in his/her Master’s study had not previously taken the compulsory courses or their equivalent, similar to the courses in the University of Abuja shall, on admission be required to offer and pass such courses with a minimum of 60% (4 points) or a letter grade “B”
• Candidates seeking admission into any of the postgraduate Diploma Programmes must possess a university degree with a minimum grade of third class or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit.
• MBBS, BDS is required for MPH Community Medicine while a health-related degree is required for MPH Sexual and Reproductive Health
• NOTE: Ph.D., candidates should attach a maximum of 500 words research proposal.

How to Apply for UNIABUJA Postgraduate Admission Form

Application Fee: A non-refundable Application fee of N20,500.00 should be paid to the University of Abuja Account through REMITA via the University of Abuja Portal. NOTE: Applicants are advised to access REMITA through the University of Abuja Portal below for record purposes.

How to:

• Visit https://portal.uniabuja.edu.ng
• Click on “Click here to apply“
• On the left pane, click on Postgraduate
• Enter the requested details (surname, first name, other names, email, and phone number) and click Next
• On the payment preview page, click on Generate RRR
• Click make payment and you will be redirected to Remita platform, enter your card details (Master Card or Visa Card)
• After a successful payment, you will be redirected back to the portal and application number generated and you will be logout out.
• Click on “Main Login”, enter the generated application number and surname as a password to continue the application process

UNIABUJA Postgraduate Admission Process

• Visit the university’s official portal on www.pgportal.uniabuja.edu.ng
• Pay the application fee of #20,500 into the university of Abuja account through REMITA ( Ensure you pay into UniAbuja account via REMITA via the university portal).
• Fill in the application form then submit it.
• Check your admission status by visiting https://pgportal.uniabuja.edu.ng/index.php/new/checkadminstatus.
• Enter your form ID in the space provided.
• Click admission status and check if you have been offered admission.

• Masters Degree(depending in department)- #99,000-180,000
• Masters in Business Administration (Executive)-#289,500
• Masters in Business Administration (Fulltime)-#189,500

How to Check UNIABUJA Postgraduate Results

Checking your results online is a lot easier, just follow the steps highlighted below;

• Log on to the institution’s website, https://www.unibuja.com
• Navigate through and click on the “undergraduate” icon
• Kindly click on “student login” on the following page
• Next is to input your registration number and password and hit the login icon
• Once successfully logged in, click on “My School”
• Select the results option
• Select the session and semester you wish to view its results and click on submit. The results will be displayed on the next page.
